About Me

As you probably know by now, my name is William Deacon. I am a recent graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia (www.jmu.edu). I have a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Media Arts and Design (smad.jmu.edu) with a concentration in Interactive Media and a minor in Computer Information Systems. I was very active at JMU and a member of several clubs and organizations including: the Marching Royal Dukes, Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity (Beta Zeta class, Spring 2007) and SafeRides.

I was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. I attended Brookville High School (class of 2006), where I was 29th in my class of over 200 people with an advanced diploma. I was also very active in high school. Some of my activities included: President of YOVASO (Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety), National Honor Society, Marching Band Section Leader, Bible Club and many others.

I am also still very active in my hometown. In Lynchburg, I am a member of the Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department (www.btvfd.org) where I am a Firefighter and EMT-Basic. I am also an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America. I contribute much of my leadership drive and determination to these two activities.
