This was a project for my Advanced Multimedia class for which we had to redesign a website for a client. Our client was JMU's student newspaper The Breeze. The site is run by WordPress and uses a theme based off of the Streamline Genesis theme. We customized the CSS and the PHP templates using the editor as well as Dreamweaver.
I was asked to redesign the website of JMU's SafeRides, of which I am a member. The site needed to be clean and accessible, as well as easily updatable. The new site features a content area on the home page which is loaded by XML and ActionScript. It also features an area for sponsors, an area to donate money and a photo gallery.
I was approached by the adviser of JMU's Mortar Board Organization to do a complete redesign of their old site. The client wanted a cleaner feel as well as an easily accessible site. The new design incorporates the organization's colors as well as biographies for all of the Officers in the organization. The new site also includes a calendar and an area about the group's projects.
This tutorial I created for my final project in my Advanced Multimedia for the Web class. It is an interactive guide to the Blueprint CSS Framework that covers what a framework is, why they should be used in design and even how to install and implement Blueprint in a design. It also includes an MP3 player that plays the music of Jack Johnson. I recieved an A on this project.
